Kadambini Sahitya Akademi Trust was founded in June, 2022 by the eminent creative writer, editor, journalist, national award winning film producer, interviewer, creator of luxury designer house ‘Shephalee’, social worker & entrepreneur Dr. Itirani Samanta. She is the first Managing Trustee of Kadambini Sahitya Akademi Trust. The main aims of Kadambini Sahitya Akademi are to spread, uplift and preserve Odishan art, language, literature and culture. To encourage, honour literary persons and experts through award, reward and honour in various field of Literature. To touch upon various aspects of the art, culture and literature of different parts of the country and also different social issues. Kadambini Sahitya Akademi has been working to preserve and codify the ancient and valuable literary research books, journals and magazines of Odisha, to carry on other relevant works of the field (literature) according to the present time and situation. Akademi is working on organising literary functions and get together in different part of Odisha to encourage young talents of the field, to protect, promote and propagate art, language, culture & literature of the country. To organise workshops, festivals, symposium, fairs and exibitions etc., inviting talent arts, culture, literature, cinema and related Hon’ble Governor of Odisha His Excellency Prof. Ganeshi Lal on receiving prestigious ‘Kadambini Samman-2022’. Chairman Lok Sevak Mandal, Odisha and Publisher & Printer, ‘ The Samaja’ Sj. Niranjan Rath on receiving prestigious ‘Kadambini Samman-2021’. Eminent Artist Sj. Pranab Pattnaik on receiving prestigious ‘Kadambini Samman-2020’. fields. To establish various awards in the field of art, literature, cinema and theatre. Kadambini Sahitya Akademi has been working to print, publish, translate and circulate books, pamphlets, periodicals etc. for developing art, culture, literature of the country among the general Public.

In near future Kadambini Sahitya Akademi will undertake field studies, research and analysis production of monographs and audio visual materials for the benefit of the general public with particular emphasis on Indian art, culture, literature & music. And also Kadambini Sahitya Akademi will work to establish libraries, reading rooms, audiovisual aid centres and reference and index libraries, information software centres for the attainment of the objectives of the Trust.

Kadambini Sahitya Akademi Trust logo was inaugurated by His Excellency Prof. Ganeshi Lal, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha during 23rd birth anniversary function of ‘ The Kadambini’ on 2nd July, 2022 at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar.

Wherein ‘Kadambini Samman’ was conferred to eminent singer Sj Pranab Kishor Pattnaik; Chairman Lok Sevak Mandal, Odisha and publisher & printer, ‘The Samaja’, Sj. Niranjan Rath and His Excellency Prof. Ganeshi Lal, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha for the year 2020, 2021 & 2022 respectively by Kadambini Sahitya Akademi Trust for the very first time.

Accordingly ‘Kadambini Galpa Samman’ was bestowed to Sj. Pabitra Panigrahi, Sj. Gangadhar Biswal and Ms. Pallishree Pattnaik for the year 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively. Also ‘Kadambini Kabita Samman’ was bestowed to Sj. Nirakar Das & Ms. Pritidhara Samal for the year 2021 & 2022. ‘Kadambini Best Coverpage Samman- 2022’ was bestowed to Ms. Anu Choudhury, Mama Mishra, Usashi Mishra and Jyoti Mishra for best coverpage model by Kadambini Sahitya Akademi Trust.
